52 in the Year of 52 --- #hike3

Well this was an action packed hiking day...some miles and some smiles were covered!
The day started with a 7:45am departure with my long time hiking bae!
Equipped with coffee, directions and our layers we drove to take on Breakneck Ridge in Beacon, NY
The first hour is vertical rock scrambling...reccomend gloves, no poles needed for this hike!
Views are amazing!!
We took the white trail, to red trail to the yellow trail ---
This is the BEST marked trail we have been on in a loooong time!
2 hours 45 mins
1200+\-
Peek a boo! Hope you are not afraid of heights...don't look down...
Been trying a few hikes in fleece lined tights. Liking them better than hiking pants.
After we walked back to our car, parked on the side of the road near trail start on 9D we stretched a bit and got back on the road. We would totally do this hike again, maybe add on another yellow trail out and back extension.

No rest for the weary...back home, quick lunch and back out with my daughter to meet up with friends for a wonderful snowy hike through Babcock Preserve.
FYI, don't panic but it's not well marked but beautiful.
2.5 miles
Cloudy and snowing
Smiles and miles! #getoutside
